Problem:

SCORM file is not uploading and I receive a 'Scorm is not valid' error.

Troubleshoot:

  1. Does the SCORM file launch successfully in SCORM cloudReasoning: If the SCORM file returns errors, this indicates there is an issue with the file itself, outside of EthosCE. In this case, please have your content creator review.
  2. Are there any SCORM completionsDid the SCORM file change recently?
  3. Do users have a completion status, according to the SCORM report?
  4. Did the SCORM file change recently?

  7. Was SCORM published out as a supported versionReasoning: If SCORM is missing the manifest files from not being published properly, the SCORM object will result in error. Users cannot move past the SCORM file to the next course object.

Troubleshoot:

  1. Was SCORM published with a supported LMS reporting status?  If you review the details of the attempts in the course's SCORM report, does the Completion status say "COMPLETE" and Success status say "UNKNOWN"? If so, the SCORM file is reporting complete to the LMS and not pass/fail ("success"). Please have your SCORM author review this.
  2. Does the SCORM file complete successfully in SCORM cloudReasoning: If the SCORM file returns errors, this indicates there is an issue with the file itself, outside of EthosCE. In this case, please have your content creator review.
  3. Was SCORM published with a supported LMS reporting status?
  4. Do users have a completion status, according to the SCORM report?
  5. Does the SCORM file itself have any specific configurations set, for example:
    1. User must be reviewing SCORM file for a certain length of time
    2. User must pass quizzes within the SCORM file
    3. User must click each slide within the SCORM file
  6. Did the SCORM file change recently?
  7. If using Rise by Articulate, is the Navigation mode set to Free or Restricted? We have seen success passed to the LMS when the Navigation mode is set to 'Restricted.'
