Clearing ACCME Activity IDs

Clearing ACCME Activity IDs

When an activity is configured to report to ACCME and it is saved for the first time, EthosCE stores the ACCME Activity ID assigned by ACCME. The ID is displayed on the activity, but the field cannot be edited. This is to ensure data integrity between both systems.

When updating an activity in PARS, EthosCE uses the ACCME Activity ID as a one-to-one connection to identify the activity in both systems. Previously, this uniqueness was a combination of fields.

On occasion, an activity may need to be recreated in ACCME via EthosCE. To accommodate the recreation, site admins may remove the existing stored ACCME Activity ID. Saving the activity will trigger a creation call to the PARS system, and the new ID will be populated in EthosCE.

This removal feature is recommended only in instances where the activity has been previously deleted from PARS. Removing the ACCME Activity ID from EthosCE may create duplicates if the previous activity still exists in PARS.
