Minimum or Maximum Children

Maximum children restricts the learner from enrolling in more than the specified number of child courses in a course relationship. This setting is useful for concurrent sessions in the case a learner can only complete one course in the sequence.

Minimum children sets the lowest number of children the learner is required to complete in order to complete the parent course.

This setting only affects the immediate child courses of the course. Courses more than one level below the course must have this setting set on their immediate parent.

To set the minimum or maximum children:

1. Navigate to the course.

2. Click "Edit."

3. Click "Course settings."

4. Select the appropriate option under "Minimum children" and "Maximum children."

5. Click "Save."
