Object completion
Rule-based access restricts access to a specific course object based upon
the completion of a specified number of available course objects. The user will not access the object until the minimum number of objects from the applicable list are completed.custom rules in a customers instance of EthosCE, and certain condition configurations set by the administrator.
- Navigate to the course.
- Click "COURSE OUTLINE."

- Click the "Modifications" tab below.
Modification Options
Conditional modifications will dictate access for the learner based on the rule selected above. Modifications include:
- TRUE/FALSE Select true or false based on how a system rule will be affected by the modifications. For example: A rule has been configured to check for learners with a custom profile field. If learner has the identified profile field, select TRUE, and all modifications will be applied to learners with the identified profile field.
- Block Access check block access to restrict eligible learners from accessing the course object itself
- Required change the required course object configuration by selecting: No Change (retain existing settings), Make Required (will update course object settings to Required), Make Optional (will update course object settings to Optional)
- Visibility change the course outline visibility configuration by selecting: No Change (retain existing settings), Visible (will update course object settings to visible in outline), Hidden (will update course object settings to Hidden)
