A poll is a simple course object designed to collect an average response from a single question from learners in the course.


Try using a poll to collect per-course information such as course difficulty.




A learner may not proceed past a required Poll until the they cast their vote.

Adding a Poll

  1. Navigate to the course.
  2. Click the "Course outline" tab.
  3. Select "Poll" from the course object dropdown.
  4. Click "Add object."
  5. Click "Save outline."
  6. Proceed to edit the Poll

Editing a Poll

  1. Navigate to the course.
  2. Click the "COURSE OUTLINE" tab.
  3. Click "Edit instance" in a Poll section.
  4. Edit the choices in the list of text boxes.
    • To remove a choice, delete the contents of the text box.
    • To add another choice, click the "More choices" button.
  5. Click "Save."
