Problem

A course is not displaying in the course catalog.

Troubleshooting

  1. Is “Show on catalog” disabled under Edit>>Course Settings?

  2. Is the course a child course? If so, is “No” selected as the “Show child in catalog” setting under Edit>>Course settings on the parent course?

Problem

A course is displaying in the course catalog.

Troubleshooting

  1. Is “Show on catalog” enabled under Edit>>Course Settings?

  2. Is the course a child course? If so, is “Yes” selected as the “Show child in catalog” setting under Edit>>Course settings on the parent course?

Problem

Course categories or format options are missing in the catalog search.

This particular problem is in relation to the faceted search catalogs (/course-catalog-cards, /course-catalog-list, /course-catalog-table)

Troubleshooting

  1. Are there courses tagged with the missing terms?

  2. Are the courses tagged with the missing terms published?

  3. Are the courses tagged with the missing terms expired?

  4. Is “Show in catalog” enabled for the courses with the missing terms?
