About Conference Harvester
Cadmium Conference Harvester is our platform used to manage speaker and exhibitor content, plan session and presentation details, and communicate with stakeholders via an email tool.
Working with Conference Harvester and EthosCE
The content import feature can be used to create courses and course relationships in EthosCE from presentations and sessions in Education Harvester. This feature can be used for setting up courses in EthosCE using Harvester data. Once created in EthosCE, these courses can be used to sell and deliver enduring materials or provide assessments, evaluations, credit claiming and certificates for use after a Cadmium event.

How Presentation Data Maps to EthosCE Courses
The Cadmium Harvester import creates courses in EthosCE from presentation data retrieved via the Cadmium HarvesterJsonAPI. Based on the feeds importer configuration and processor implementation, the following fields are imported:
Presentation Data Fields (from Cadmium Harvester API):
abstracttext - The full presentation abstract/description
abstracttextshort - Short version of the abstract
presentationauthors - Speaker/author information
learningobjective1 through learningobjective10 - Up to 10 learning objectives
Mapping to EthosCE Course Fields
These presentation fields are mapped to the following EthosCE course fields during import:

If multiple learning objectives are provided, EthosCE combines all values into the course’s Learning Objectives field.
To import courses from Harvester
Navigate to the course and click “Course outline.” A course relationship or course outline type may be used.
Click "Import" in the top menu bar.
Select the Harvest event to import.
Select the presentations to import.
Click “import.”
Important
Updates are not supported. After the initial import, updates must be manually entered into the imported course.
A presentation/session can only be imported into a course once. If the presentation/session is needed in more than one course relationship, it must be cloned.
