Quiz Timer

The quiz timer will start the countdown as soon as the user clicks into the quiz and starts an attempt. 

When the timer runs out on learners taking a quiz:

  • If questions are on a single page, none of the answered questions will be submitted.

  • If questions are on multiple pages, only the questions that the learner answered and clicked "Next" for will get submitted.

  1. Navigate to a course with a quiz.

  2. Click the "Course outline" tab.

  3. Click "Edit instance", and proceed to Editing a Quiz.

  4. Beneath Taking Options tab, type the maximum time allowed (in seconds) in the Time limit field.
