Credit expiration removes a credit record from a learner's transcript.

Credit expiration settings are disabled by default. Please open a support ticket to enable them.

Setting a credit to expire:

  1. Navigate to the course.

  2. Click "Edit."

  3. Click "Course Settings"

  4. Click "Course Credit."

  5. Click on the name of the credit.

  6. Under "Expiration type" select one of the following options:

    1. None

      • Credit does not expire.

    2. Specify Date

      • Credit will expire on the exact date set.

    3. End of year credit awarded

      • Credit will expire at the end of the year the user completed the course.

      • Example: If the user completed a course on November 14th, 2025, the credit will expire December 31st, 2025

      • The offset field is for setting the credit expiration to happen the specified number of days after the end of that calendar year.

      • Example: If the user completed a course on November 14th, 2025, the end of the calendar year is December 31st, 2025. If the offset is set to 30, the credit will expire 30 days after December 31st, which is January 30th, 2026

    4. Date credit is awarded

      • Credit will expire at the specified number of days after credit has been awarded.

      • Example: If the user completed a course on November 14th, 2025, and the offset is 10, the credit will expire on November 24th, 2025.

Expired credit will not appear in a learner’s transcript.
