Adding Book Pages

A book page is used within a book shell to create a hierarchy of pages in one course object.  The pages within a book are called book child pages- they are not considered course pages or basic pages.  

To add additional book pages to a book:

1. Navigate to the course.

2. Click "Course outline."

3. Click the "Edit instance" link for the book.

4. Click "Book outline" in the very top menu tab.

5. Click "Child pages" in the second topmost menu tab.

6. Click "Add content"

7. Type the page title into the "Title" field.

8. Click "Add content"

To add content to the page:

1. Click the tools icon (  ).

2. Click "Edit"

3. Type the title for the book page into the "Title" field.

4. Type the content for the first book page into the "Body" field.

5. Click "Save."
