Parent Credit

Parent credit gives the option of setting how you want to award credit on the parent. There are two options:

• Award the credit set on the parent course, or;

• Roll up the credit earned by the learner on the child courses

 Rolling up the credit will enforce the aggregated minimum and maximum allowed by the child courses. In this way, a learner will not be able to claim more than the maximum or less than the minimum.

To set the parent credit option:

1. Navigate to the course

2. Click "Edit."

3. Click "Course settings."

4. Under "Course relationship settings," under "Parent credit:"

   1. Click "Normal" to award the credit set on the parent course.

   2. Click "Roll-up" to award the total credit earned by the learner across all the children.
