Clone and Reference a Course Object

The clone and reference option allows the site administrator to make a copy of an existing course object and add the copy to a course in one step. 

1. Navigate to the course. 

2. Click "COURSE OUTLINE."

3. Click the dropdown menu item "- select object -" and select a course object.

4. Click the "Add object" button. Do not save the outline.

5. Click on the course object’s “Settings” link.

6. Click the “Content” tab.

7. Check "Use existing content."

8. Type the name of the content in the "Existing content" field.

9. Wait for the name of content to appear and then select it.

10. Check “Clone and reference.”

11. Click the “Update” button.

12. Click the “Save outline” button.
